Tom and Bob had the ultimate father-son adventure.

These are just a few of the hundreds of pictures that the

guys took on their epic trip to South America.

They flew from SeaTac to Atlanta, then to Miami, then Sao Paulo. They arrived in Sao Paulo at about 6:00 a.m., then flew to Campo Grande, where they boarded a flight to Corumbá.

Near Corumbá, there was a Jesus statue similar to the "Cristo Redentor" (Christ the Redemptor) statue in Rio de Janeiro.

Crossing the border into Brazil

This was the boat that the guys lived on for several days while fishing and exploring the Pantanal.

Machu Picchu

Agua Caliente is the town at the foot of Machu Picchu, named for the local hot springs. It's a stop for the tourists traveling by train as well as for the tour buses.

The guys took lots of pictures of doors.

Last day: Fortress overlooking Cuzco
